I have known Padraic O'Maille for eight years and have always found his energy, enthusiasm and optimisim to be highly infectious and motivating. His first book, The Midas Power was a little bible for me in 2013 and I read it several times. I found that one of the messages of that book "Do what you can, with what you have, right now" enabled me manage and control my wild horses during a difficult time in my life. As a devoted Smachtee I can say without hesitation that Padraic has had a profound impact on my ability to set, prioritise, track and achieve my personal and professional goals over the last three years. I read Rocking Horse Sh*t just after the Smacht Mor in February 2015 and have dipped in and out of it on many occassions since. The book gives a remarkable insight into the difficult and personal journey that Padraic and his family went on last summer. He remained remarkably positive throughout that time despite enduring a number of unexpected knocks post-op and maintained his good humour and ability to draw you into the experience through his writing. It is a true measure of the man that he practiced what he preached and this helped him recover and reset his own goals and objectives. Great book, as honest and frank about our own mortality as one could be. For years Padraic hasd been preaching about how to deal with adversity and now he was put to the test. Not only does he pass with flying colours but sprints over the line.

What a brilliant book, telling the story of an inspirational guy who facilitated & mentored some of the best of us over the years. Then had the rug pulled out from under him with ill health, but fought through it by taking his own Smacht medicine that he had given to all of us over the years to make us what we are today. This is a book you will not let out of your hand until you have it read completely & you will refer back to sections as you go through life. Buy two copies one for your best friend & the other for your worst enemy & they will both equally thank you.

The O Mailles of Galway are like that you know, good tough well regarded stock who always do their best.
Padraic carries the mantle of the modern O Máille clan very well. Aside from being well known as a business adviser and motivator, much more importantly he is a lovely fellow who on meeting him inevitably brightens up your day.
Rocking Horse S*** is an extraordinary vivid account of Padraic's battle against a mysterious illness that rocked him to his core for months on end. Even when surrounded by love and friendship and companionship as Padraic was, illness, and especially long term illness, is a very lonely world for the sufferer.
You won't find much of the well known, confident and swashbuckling Pádraic O Máille in this book. You will find instead a frightened man with a lot to lose who has to come to terms with a human frailty which he very bravely exposes in this book.
A rattling good yarn in which from chapter to chapter you find yourself willing Pádraic to get better for the sake of his loving Annie and family as well as for his own indomitable spirit.
Rocking Horse S*** is a very honest account of an extremely difficult time in a good man's life.
